Tae Kwon Do is not just for kids! Our adult classes are held five days a week. With millions of practitioners worldwide, Tae Kwon-Do is a discipline that teaches ways of enhancing our spirit and life through training our body and mind. Each unique workout at Franklin Tae Kwon-Do consists of total body cardio and strength training - balancing mental fitness with physical fitness for an overall complete workout. Anyone can do it!
Stress Relief.
Tae Kwon-Do training is challenging and exciting. When practicing Tae Kwon-Do, your mind will be ocupied by the physical and mental goals of the lesson. During class, the student's mind will be busy with challenges and therefore experience a detachment from the tensions and problems of daily life. For this reason, as a student at Franklin Tae Kwon-Do School, you will learn that traditional Tae Kwon-Do drills and exercises have a meditative effect on the students.
Learn Self Defense.
Tae Kwon-Do is a complete system of Self-Defense perfected in the Korean army before it spread throughout the world. Tae Kwon-Do's combination of kicks, blocks and hand techniques makes it an effective system of self defense for adults of any age. For those who wish to test their skills, Tae Kwon-Do is also an Olympic sport. Tournament competitions is one of the many options of a Franklin Tae Kwon-Do student and can even lead to a spot on the U.S. Olympic team!
Lose Weight.
Tae Kwon-Do classes consistantly focus on warm up exercises before stretching, as well as kicking and punching drills, blocks, footwork and traditional forms working all major muscle groups of the body. Tae Kwon-Do training will aid the practitioner to gain greater aerobic and anaerobic capabilities, better muscle tone and lower percentage of body fat. It also promotes discipline and self control often leading to a well balanced healthful diet.

Our classes provide a great cardio workout and address whole body fitness in an enjoyable and safe atmosphere. As a student at Franklin Tae Kwon-Do, you will gain strength, stamina, quickness, flexibility, coordination and balance.

Tae Kwon-Do classes are full of kicking and punching drills for a superior full body work out! Strengthen and tone while having fun learning an art that incorporates great self defense techniques!
We cover strething, basic hand techniques, self defense, kicking drills, traditional Tae Kwon-Do forms, sparring drills, sparring (light and Olympic style), one-step hand techniques and mixed martial arts. We offer separate clases for beginners and advanced students as well as combined classes for all skill levels.
Whatever your present physical condition, the training is carefully tailored to slowly introduce you to this fascinating and dynamic art. Progress depends entirely on your commitment and consistency. Whatever you put into your training, so will you be rewarded.
